The Richard Huish Education Group is delighted to announce that another local primary school has joined the Huish Multi Academy Trust (MAT) from 1st January 2021. Lyngford Park Primary School in Taunton is the latest School to join alongside The Taunton Academy, West Buckland Primary, North Curry Primary, North Town Primary and Nerrols Primary.

The Richard Huish Education Group is an independent charitable organisation established by Richard Huish College, an academy sponsor approved by the Department for Education, to support local schools. The MAT uses the educational expertise from across all of the institutions to spread best practice through highly effective leadership, strategic management and specialist resources. All the organisations within Huish retain their individual autonomy in order that best serve the needs of their local communities, whilst also benefitting from the collective advantages of working closely with other like-minded partners.

Richard Huish Education Group CEO John Abbott said: “We are extremely excited to have welcomed Lyngford Park Primary School to the Huish Trust and look forward to working with Sarah and her team. The partnership will create a range of opportunities which will benefit all organisations through the sharing of best practice and resources. It will also further contribute to our educational vision and ambitions to deliver exceptional education across Primary, Secondary and Further Education in our communities.”

Embedding the ethos of ‘Inspiring all to be the best they can be’, Lyngford Park is an averaged sized Primary School based in Taunton, rated Good by Ofsted at its last short inspection in October 2017. Sarah Loader, Headteacher at Lyngford Park Primary School commented: “We are delighted to have joined the Richard Huish Education Group and are looking forward greatly to working with colleagues to provide the best education for the children in the Trust.”
