Richard Huish College Biology students recently participated in the National Biology Olympiad, with 12 of them gaining awards this year.

Over 8,000 students from 622 schools across the country put their Biology skills to the test as they competed in the National Biology Olympiad. Of everyone who took part, only the top 5% would receive the Gold award, and the following 10% would receive Silver awards.

A huge congratulations to everyone who represented Huish in what was a fantastic performance. Izzy Rossiter and Ollie Haste were amongst the spectacular few to achieve Gold Awards whilst Harriet Chick successfully achieved a Silver Award. Highly Commended were Kris Bourne, Ella Silsby, Jemima Lee, Elysia Carter-Rice, Olivia MacConnell, Sam New and Commended were Flo Rawbone, Megan Little, Amy Udall.
