The Richard Huish Trust are pleased to announce that Mark Braund has been appointed as Headteacher of North Town Primary School and Nursery from April 2022, following the recent retirement of Mike Snowdon.

Mark has been Headteacher at St George’s Catholic School for five years and previously North Curry C of E Primary School for three and a half years, leading the schools through two successful inspections with pupils achieving good or better outcomes. Mark brings a high level of educational understanding, strong leadership skills, and ambition to North Town Primary School.

Speaking of his appointment, Mark said, “I am absolutely delighted to be appointed as the new Headteacher at North Town Primary School. I am looking forward to working with the whole school community and aim to build on the successes from Mike Snowden’s time as Headteacher. By working closely with the staff team, children, parents and Governors, I will ensure we provide an excellent educational experience. I am really looking forward to the weeks and months ahead and want to get to know the whole school community as quickly as possible”.
