The Richard Huish Education Group are pleased to announce that Nick Arnold has been appointed as Headteacher of Lyngford Park Primary School from September 2021.
Nick is currently Head at North Newton Primary School near Bridgwater and will take over from current Head, Sarah Loader, who will be retiring after 7 years at Lyngford Park.
Nick has been Headteacher at North Newton for 7 years, leading the school through two successful inspections with pupils achieving good or better outcomes. Nick brings a high level of educational understanding, strong leadership skills and ambition for Lyngford Park Primary School.
Speaking of his appointment, Nick said, “I am delighted to be appointed as the new Headteacher at Lyngford Park Primary, starting in September. I am looking forward to working with the whole of the school community and aim to build on the successes from Sarah Loader’s time as Headteacher. By working closely with the staff team, children, parents and Governors, I will ensure we provide an excellent provision. With many faces and names to learn, I will get to know the school community as quickly as possible. I hope you all have a great, and safe, summer, and we all return refreshed for the new academic year.”
During the interview process Nick impressed panels of Lyngford Park Governors together with Senior Leaders and Directors from The Richard Huish Trust, with his passion, commitment to learning and pupil centred approach. Commenting on behalf of the Lyngford Park Governors, Chair Faye Forsythe said, “I would like to congratulate Nick on his appointment and welcome him to Lyngford Primary School.”
